From Tragedy to Healing: Guiding You Through Loss After Murder-Suicide is a supportive grief course created for those coping with the deep and complicated pain of losing someone to murder-suicide. Grieving a loss due to murder-suicide is an incredibly complex and isolating experience. Survivors face not only deep sorrow but also trauma, unanswered questions, and emotions that can feel overwhelming.
This 6-weck self-led course is designed to provide a compassionate, supportive space for survivors to process their grief, understand their emotions, and begin the healing journey at their own pace. In this course, you’ll learn how to process your feelings, learn healthy ways to cope, and connect with others who understand.

Over the course of six weeks. participants will engage in self-reflection exercises, and practical coping strategies to help navigate their grief. Each week will focus on a different aspect of healing, including:
- Understanding Traumatic Grief: How grief after a murder-suicide differs from other losses and how to process emotions.
- Coping with Complicated Emotions: Exploring feelings of anger, guilt, shame, and relief in a non-judgmental space.
- Self-Care & Grounding Techniques: Learning how to manage emotional overwhelm through mindfulness, rest, and healthy boundaries.
- Rebuilding a Sense of Safety & Trust: Exploring how to restore emotional security and move forward with life after loss.
- Finding Meaning & Honoring the Loved One: Identifying ways to carry love and memories forward while allowing space for healing.

- Teaching practical strategies to navigate grief in daily life.
- Providing tools to release self-blame and find self-compassion.
- Understanding how trauma impacts the mind and body, and how to manage triggers.

- Learning how to process intense and conflicting emotions.
- Offers peer support from other survivors who “get it”.

While grief does not have a timeline, this course provides a foundation for survivors to begin understanding, processing. and integrating their grief. By the end of the six weeks, participants will have greater awareness of their emotions, tools for managing diflicult moments, and a supportive framework for continued healing.
This journey is not about forgetting— it’s about learning to carry grief in a way that allows for healing, hope, and resilience.
